Melissa "Missy" Stierle is the trainer and manager of Brandywine.
Missy began riding in 1978, and has over seventeen years
experience professionally in the equestrian field.  Missy
successfully competed on the "A" show circuit on the East
Coast as a junior rider, winning many championships and year
end awards.  After moving to Mississippi in 1989, Missy continued
her show career in the Southeast.  In 1993, Missy placed sixth at
the American Quarter Horse World Championship show, in
Oklahoma, in the open jumpers.

After graduation from William Woods University in 1994, with a
bachelor's degree in Equestrian Science, Missy worked for
Olympic show jumper, Anne Kursinski.  As head groom and
assistant barn manager for Ms. Kursinski, Missy learned all
aspects of horse care and training on the most elite level.  After
more than two years of traveling all over the United States,
Europe, Mexico, and Canada with Ms. Kursinski, Missy returned
to Mississippi.

Brandywine was created in 2004 and our goal is to provide riders
with a safe place to enjoy horses.  Riders at Brandywine range
from beginners to experienced show competitors and include
horse lovers of all ages.  Brandywine riders successfully compete
on the local hunter/jumper show circuit; however the farm is
also home to many adults who simply enjoy trail riding on and
around our farm as well as a nearby National Park.

Missy is an active member of the Chula Homa Hunt, USEF,
AQHA, and
has been on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi
Hunter Jumper Association.
